“In the early 1990s, Starbucks was just beginning it’s expansion.”
Starbucks was still a novelty to new market’s it was expanding into. The corporatization of the business hadn’t taken place yet. Each partner strove to learn the nuances of how each varietal and blend of coffee bean tasted, sharing that passion with our customers.
In my time as a partner, I watched many “efficiencies” created at the cost of our passion for the company.
